Kuro and I started The React Native Rewind because we kept having the same conversation in bars and Slack threads and after conference talks: someone would mention a package, or a maintainer, or a migration that blew up in 2019, and half the room would nod like they were in on it while the other half sat there wondering when they'd missed the briefing. We had both been in that second group for years before we realised the briefing never existed.

So we started writing it down. Every week we dig through the releases, the GitHub drama that only makes sense once you've read three issues deep, the libraries that quietly stopped getting commits, the ones that somehow didn't, and the people who still show up at absurd hours to keep the stack alive, and we turn that into something you can actually read on a Tuesday morning without having spent a decade eavesdropping. The React Native Rewind is that archive, updated live, with the jokes left in because the pain is real and pretending otherwise is how you end up with another bland roundup nobody finishes.

We are not here to sell you a framework or a course or a vibe. We write this because we still care about React Native enough to argue about it, and because the community deserves a place that treats it like a living culture instead of a changelog. If it sometimes feels like something bigger is humming behind the curtain, that is probably just the caffeine. Or it isn't. Either way, subscribe, and we'll keep sending the signal.
